Fadi: Educational Freedom for Minorities
Students like Fadi should never have to choose between their education and their identity.
Meet Fadi
Fadi is a 12-year-old growing up in Israel’s Arab Christian community. Yet, in his school, he studies a curriculum that entirely erases his nearly 2,000-year-old heritage. His textbooks teach of Islamic conquest, while ignoring the events of the New Testament and the history of Christianity in the Middle East.
Arab Christian schools lack a dedicated pedagogical framework and receive a fraction of the funding given to other schools, leaving students like Fadi alienated and under-resourced.
